Supplement Guidelines
Multi-Vitamin: A good multi-vitamin is designed to be taken at intervals throughout the day. You should take a multi-vitamin at least two times a day with food.
Calcium: If you don't consume three to four servings of dairy each day, you should consider taking at least 1000 mg of calcium, like the dotFIT Super Calcium.
Antioxidants: If you don't eat enough fruits and vegetables, you should consider taking an antioxidant like the dotFIT Superior Antioxidant.
Probiotics: A probiotic will help restore your body with healthy bacteria. You should consider taking a probiotic each day, like the dotFIT UltraProbiotic.
Fiber: If you are not consuming 25-35 grams of fiber each day, you should consider taking a fiber supplement, like psyllium husk.
Omega Complex: If you don't consume at least 3-5 servings of seafood each week, you should consider taking 1000-3000 mg of an omega complex each day, like the dotFIT Super Omega-3 Fish Oil.
Caffeine: If you drink more than 1 serving of a caffeinated beverage each day, you should consider cutting your caffeine intake to less than 80 mg each day. Caffeine can have synergistic or antagonistic effects on supplements. It can slow down or speed up the rate of absorption of nutrients in your body.
Protein: You should consider drinking at least one high-quality protein shake each day, like the dotFIT All Natural WheySmooth. You should also consider using a high-quality protein bar, like dotFIT, Quest, or One, to fill in the gaps between meals. If you workout consistently, you should also consider taking BCAAs, like the dotFIT AmindoFormula, during or after your workout.
Safety Warning: You want to be careful if you take any other supplements besides the ones we have listed. You can reach the upper levels of toxicity by taking more supplements than your body needs or using multiple manufacturers. Please consult with a qualified physician before you start a dietary support or supplement program.
Quality Standards: Not all supplements are created equally. Supplements are not regulated by the FDA, so be sure to use high-quality supplement manufacturers that follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or have the US Pharmacopeia verified mark. We recommend the dotFIT, Nature's Plus, and NOW manufactures.
